Why We Opened The Baby Cafe: A New Kind of Kid-Friendly Coffee Shop in Austin

We realized that when it comes to kid-friendly spaces in Austin, parents are usually forced to compromise.
We’ve all been there.. Your toddler is climbing the walls, you need to get out of the house, so you pack up the diaper bag, wrestle your toddler into the car, and head to a local cafe. But instead of relaxing, you spend the next 45 minutes stopping your one-year-old from eating stray sugar packets or running into the parking lot. You leave exhausted, and your coffee is cold.
We realized that when it comes to kid-friendly coffee shops in Austin, parents are usually forced to compromise. You either get great coffee or refreshing drink in a space that isn't safe for a baby - or is way too hot, or you go to a chaotic indoor playground where the coffee comes from a vending machine at best. And usually, the few places that do offer something for both, are outside of your baby’s developmental stage with unsafe structures and a tempting buffet of non-edibles that your baby is eager to try.
The Baby Cafe was born to change that.

We created a custom soft-play sanctuary exclusively for children ages 0 to 6 with a curated space for non-walkers!. We wanted a space with zero "big kids" running around, so your tiny walkers can explore safely. But more importantly, we built a fully-staffed coffee & juice bar so you can finally experience the ultimate parenting luxury: sitting down and drinking a hot coffee with both hands or enjoying a refreshing, nurturing juice, and getting to actually relax in a completely safe space for your baby.
